We are very proud to announce that we were awarded the Residential Interior Design Award at the Housing Industry Association (HIA) Housing Awards in 2020. This award-winning design featured Perini Tiles’ stunning Futura Drops tiles in blue, which fulfilled our client’s brief of a light, bright kitchen with coastal influence.
Our Monaco client desired a bespoke kitchen in neutral tones, with the splashback used as a place to have fun with colours and patterns. Perini’s Futura Drops tiles proved the perfect fit, offering a modern matte finish in beautiful coastal blue that transforms this sleek, modern space into a truly unique room designed to turn heads.
With the kitchen adjoining the dining room and outdoor entertaining area, this entire section of the home is dedicated to family living. Rather than simply being a place where food is prepared, it is an opportunity for people to come together and connect, making it all the more important that the kitchen reflects the personality of the people who live there.
Soft blue Futura Drops tiles are the undoubted stars of the show. Sourced from Perini Tiles in Richmond, the unique tiles adorn the splashback, extending from the kitchen bench to the ceiling, matching the tiles in the laundry and powder room for consistency.
Made in Italy, Futura tiles are bold and provide a pop of colour, pattern and graphics to bring any interior design space to life. Available in five block colours and two patterns, the tiles can be mixed and matched to suit any style. With matte-finish 150×150 tiles in white, rose, blue, black and grey (with half-colour options available), it’s easy to get creative with Perini’s Futura tiles.
For our Monaco project, the Perini tiles were paired with Caesarstone benchtops complete with waterfall ends, and vinyl wrap in stone grey matte with bespoke timber handles for the pantry cupboards. Integrated storage solutions add to the family-friendly feel – the fit-out in one of the double pantry cupboards even allows for an appliance nook complete with benchtop, drawers and electrical requirements.
Our interior design and materials selection process always begins with a detailed design brief meeting, which allows our clients to discuss everything from colours to finishes with our in-house interior designer. From here, we can gauge your style preferences and begin gathering imagery and samples to create a design concept.
Once we ensure you are happy with the design, we source and specify colours from our preferred suppliers. Tiles are always one of the most important finishes in any project – and working with Perini is an easy way to guarantee quality for our clients.
We work with a number of high-quality boutique suppliers from the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding areas. This allows our clients to choose from a range of sizes, materials, colours, patterns and finishes, and means we have access to everything we require to create a completely bespoke design that matches your unique concept – whether your style is contemporary, country, Art Deco or anything in between.
Once all the materials have been selected, we can present you with a complete interior design concept featuring samples and 3D renders. Once our clients at Monaco were able to visualise the Perini Drops tiles in their new kitchen, they were completely won over – making this stunning design not only a HIA winner, but a huge success for our valued clients, too.
